Have degrees in Music and Education, Specialization in: Piano performance, Music Theory, Voice performance, Music K-12, Choir and Band certification. Student fellow and Co-Director of the choirs, Accompanist for concert choir, Women’s choir, Men’s choir, ensembles, soloists and theater productions, during undergraduate education. Continue to further education through performance, instruction and educational workshops.
Love working with students of all age, preschool to adult. Many of my students have gone on to major in music and music therapy, and have become music and band teachers themselves. Many others are using their music skills to play and sing music in church, community events and performing in bands.
Offer experiences in individualized programs for each student: piano performance, Voice performance, instrumental performance, Music Theory, Music Composition, Church musicianship, College Preparation, and regional, district, state, all-state, and national performance competitions.
Students who compete at festivals consistently make Excellent to Superior ratings, ranking in the 90-100th %. Many 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Piano Competative winners in the Mid America Music Festivals and also many voice students go to All-State Choir.
